I am a little envious looking at your clip… nice set up….I’m right behind wind power… I recently travelled around Donegal Co. Ireland, and wind power is harnessed in all the right places and looks spectacular at the same time…. especially from a distance … cheers …..

Congratulations. The system featured here RoofMill™, is the invention of WindEnergy7 LLC founder, pictured in the video. This patent pending invention released last year has won the Think Green Design Award 2010, in a contest by Allied Electronics. RoofMill™ Advance Home Energy System, it’s a grid tied home wind turbine generator together with rooftop solar panels in a complete “Whole House” system. It has emergency UPS for your home and can run your meter backwards selling unused power.

@knoxjeff Maybe if you have a house surrounded by trees blocking your wind and sun, it would still do this much electricity. For this system that would be a very low output indeed. They (the systems) are productive according to the wind and sun available to them. The typical US house is averaging around 600kwH/mo, not my house. These 4.2kW systems can carry that load easily at a good site. It’s a very professional system, it increases your home value as a home improvement from Day 1.
October 16th, 2011 - 18:34
@knoxjeff that’s correct, each one is 1.4kW with solar and wind
October 16th, 2011 - 19:11
@knoxjeff Actually, it looks like 4.2 kW is for all three combined.

Cool video! Hope they keep making them!
