It was some time ago when my family decided to become independent of the commercial electric grid. Initially, we had considered buying a factory built 1000 watt wind turbine and having it professionally installed. When we realized that it would cost our family over 00 and that we would be required to set it up ourselves, it became critical that we learn as much as we could about how to build a homemade wind turbine.
